Travel Tips for You!
- A
hotel may invoice the traveler with a "No show charge"
for reservations not canceled before the hotel's cancellation
deadline. In most cases reservations must be canceled by 4:00
pm on scheduled day of arrival, however some hotels or resorts
may require notice of cancellation as much as seven days or more
in advance.
- A
Saturday night stay could cut the cost of a ticket in half or
more.
-
Travelers can request advertised weekend or promotional rates.
-
The airlines allocate a different number of seats within various
fare categories on each flight and that allocation changes daily.
The number of seats may vary with the time of year, days of week
or time of day, depending on the inventories the airline has allocated
for a given flight.
-
The less expensive a fare the more restrictive it will be.
-
Using an alternative airport can often save money.
-
Earlier or later departure/arrival times can reduce the cost of
a ticket.
-
Booking reservations in advance can result in a lower fare and
BETTER SEAT ASSIGNMENTS.
-
Many nonrefundable tickets are reusable.
-
Travelers should check in at the departure gate no less than 20
minutes prior to a domestic flight and 30 minutes for Hawaii,
Alaska, San Juan, Canada and Mexico. Travelers should check in
no less than 90 minutes prior to departure for an international
flight. Not meeting these check-in requirements can result to
loss of seat on a flight.
-
Changes in flight reservations and cancellations may result in
additional airline service fees.
